Any updates on this? Historical play is my favorite part of the PBB games and its a shame its been so neglected in the PFB games.

I think it's just a google docs link, so if it doesn't automatically download you may need to click the menu options at the top of the page and select Download file. Then you should be able to use it when creating a league as your roster source. I did update the tools a while back so folks could add/edit the file and possibly update it for the past few years, but I haven't seen anyone take that on.

Hello, I'm new to the game and have been trying to load a historic season. I (believe I) followed the directions but am having an issue.

I downloaded and copied the file "HistoricalPlayerData" to the directory "...\Documents\Wolverine Studios\DDSPF 2025". However, when I attempt to create a historic league from within the game, I'm getting a pop-up with the error message "No HistoricalPlayerData.json file found."

Do I need to run or extract that file to the directory or something? I tried double clicking on it in the event there's some kind of "install" but when I do, I just get a pop-up error message. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I just tested a league and it seemed to work okay for me. I dropped the HistoricalPlayerData.json file in C:\Users\....\Documents\Wolverine Studios\DDSPF 2025 and then created a new league. Then I changed the roster source to Custom User Created Historical Rosters. I imported 1998 which wasn't a good idea for a 32 team league because 2 teams didn't exist in 1998, but the process worked fine.
