Cannot hire coaches or advance league

I just finished my first season and I'm in the coach hiring stage, and I cannot hire coaches. I go to the view coaches for hire page. I select the coach I want to hire, but then when I try to open the drop down menu of "select position to hire for" nothing happens. I can't select the coaching position. I can't hire a coach, and I can't advance the league. I'm stuck and I'm wondering if I'm missing something?
