I agree. For now, I prefer the bubbles still. Though I'm 50/50 on the angled view, the zoom is something I've wanted for a long time. I think the animated players will be awesome once it gets fleshed out more. Not bad for a first try. My biggest issue is there's no way to identify players. The bubbles at least have # or position.

I would like to add a couple of observations, I've had a chance to view a few games now, although not in depth.

1. We seem to have more real estate on the screen now. I wonder if it would be possible to add...
* The teams' records to the score bug
* See full box scores for each team. In other words, a team's offensive stats can only be seen when that team is on offense. Alternatively it would be nice if the Box Score only included plays run so far, and not the entire game.
* A "replay" button on the Watch Game to rewind and view the last play again, instead of only skipping forward one quarter.

For an upcoming patch I'll add a config option to turn on/off the zoom effect.
